Cherine Anderson a friend to Caribbean Lifestyle Media-DancehallSoca.com continues to make strides in her career. We recently caught up with Cherine to find out what was going on with her recent tour with John Mayer.Cherine stated to us, "This has been an amazing experience. I feel blessed to be given this platform to share my dancehall-soul music, night after night with John Mayer's audience. Most night's the arenas are close to sold-out with well over 15,000 people ready to have fun. As a young songwriter and singer, yet to release a debut album and from a small island like Jamaica, I feel blessed to be able to experience this level of touring huge arenas so early into my career. It's like musical college meets partying with some really cool friends night after night. I'm loving it and I'm learning a lot."
Cherine graced the MadisonSquareGarden stage and expressed that she has been inspired by the experience.Anderson added in response to performing at Madison Square, "Incredible! It’s just amazing to think that last year I was shocked when we got the opportunity to play at a few Inaugural balls celebrating Barack Obama's presidency and only one year later we get to rock Madison Square Garden two nights in a row to sold out crowds! Life is beautiful. I have so much to write about from this experience, my debut album will definitely be full of the ideas and stories from this experience."
Cherine is featured on Michael Franti's recent album-All Rebel Rockers, which has culminated in a tour.Anderson is featured on original songs like "Little Bit A Riddim”, as well as a mash up of Franti’s "Rude Boy" with my "Good Love", new tunes like "Shake It" and billboard hit "Say Hey ( I Love You)" among others. Cherine stated to Caribbean Lifestyle Media; it is one hour filled with Dancehall-Soul-Rebel-Rocking goodness. High energy and a whole lot of fun, music that makes you feel good.
