Last week Saturday’s Magnum 10 Long 10 Strong concert in Folly Oval, Portland was scintillating to say the least.

The night’s performers who included, Mr. Vegas, Spice, Stacious and Tiana,  whipped up their finest entertainment sets. Addionally, host, Pretty Boy Floyd playing his usual charismatic and humorous self;  Vibez Iyatas heating up the crowd with their well-choreographed  dance piece; designs from fashion designer, Romeich and an Italian woman who almost "daggered" the life out of Pretty Boy Floyd were also highlights of the night.

When musical newcomer, Tiana  hit the stage some minutes to 1 am, with songs, I Won't  and Skippin Feelins, the receptive crowd rocked and sang along. Next up was the 'gangstress' Stacious, who entertained the already frenzied crowd with her great lyrics and suggestive dance moves, which host, Pretty Boy Floyd happily received. A new single, hitting out against females who perform oral sex was also a sweet stinger for the crowd. The gangstress certainly left a great mark in Portland. Then, the lady Spice had patrons begging for more from the beginning to the conclusion of her raunchy set.

While on stage she asked for a few men to come onstage and prove how “wicked” they were with handling her “ride”. Two eager patrons went onstage. Before the dancing onslaught however, Spice demanded that both men drink some Magnum as preparation. The first patron drank and after his brief wine then grind, he was booed by the crowd.

"Ah this Portland haffi offer?" asked Spice.

"Nooo!" shouted the crowd. "Booo!" they continued.

The second gentleman quickly set to work. He went to the side right of the stage, took off his earrings, chains, and watch.

The young man then went center-stage and gulped an entire bottle of Magnum.

"This look serious," said Spice.

After placing Spice infront, the man proceeded to do a 'drumming-of-sorts' on her buttocks while whining and grinding. The crowd bellowed.

Spice then told him she would show him her new whining. After telling him to stand in the middle of the stage "and not let di summen drop", she ran from one end of the stage, then suddenly turned and jumped, now with her back to him. She then did a series of acrobatic dance moves – all the while making the crowd cheer for more. But dance moves weren’t the only order of the night; Spice also performed most of the songs she released over her 10 year career, in addition to a new controversial song called, Every Artiste (Want Mi). There she spoke of Mavado, Vybz Kartel, Busy Signal and the now deceased Michael Jackson and how “speechless (she) made him feel”.  Her 20 minute set was undeniably energetic.

During his 10 minute set, Mr. Vegas did a favourable job of keeping the crowd entertained with his old and new hits.

The selectors for the night, ZJ Johnny Kool, Bass Odyssey and DJ Narity also kept the crowd entertained during their long stints onstage in addition to sprinkling tributes to the former Bass Odyssey Sound man, Squingy.
